About Us
Who Are We?
The Coat Closet, LLC was formed in 2023 by Professional Groomer Toni Smith. After years in the pet care industry she decided she wanted to start something that she could call her own. With big dreams and even bigger fears Toni started grooming pets in her home, actually in her 'coat closet'. And the name was born.
Toni has experience in multiple facets of the pet care industry, including boarding and daycare, dog training, veterinary facilities and over a decade in grooming salons. With experience in so many fields, Toni has learned to be patient and understanding of all aspects of a pet's life, not just what's happening in the salon. She has also learned the importance of clear communication with both people and pets. As our team grows Toni hopes to pass that knowledge to her colleagues.

The Coat Closet is a home based business, which means your pet is entering an environment that feels less like the groomer and more like a friend's house.
The Coat Closet works with our clients one or two at a time, allowing for shorter wait times, more personalized attention, a quieter environment and less interruptions.
The Coat Closet offers your pet access to a fully fenced yard, so they will not be asked to "hold it" or break their potty training while they're in our care.

Every pet has different grooming requirements but in general we recommend grooming every 4-8 weeks. We'd be happy to get your pet on a recurring schedule based on their specific needs. Please visit our appointment page to get started.
Generally grooming takes between 1 and 4 hours depending on your pets coat condition and temperament. Properly bathing and drying your pet is essential for working with the coat, whether its full groom, a tidy or just bath and brush.
